Ukraine’s armed forces are equipped with modern means of radiation, chemical and biological protection only 2% of their needs. This was stated in an interview with the agency by the General Designer for the Development of the RCBD Armed Forces (Radiation-Chemical-Biological Protection), the Director is the General Designer of the Private Enterprise “SPRP” Sparing-Vist Center “, a member of the League of Defense Companies of Ukraine, Yuri Storonsky.

“I do not have the right to name the absolute figures, but if you say it is a percentage – it’s only about 2% of the existing needs of the Armed Forces. This is very small. We first provided the Ministry of Defense in 2004, and since then, they have purchased a very small number of them. Modernization is hampered, first of all, by the priorities of the Ministry of Defense. Fighting is underway, and this direction is considered at best secondary. Means KZBZ are not considered as a means of necessity “, – said Mr. Storonsky.
