The armored personnel carrier BTR-70T – is a combat, wheeled, armored vehicle, 8×8 suspension; upgrade includes replacement of two petrol power units with two diesel power units with 5-speed gearbox, pneumatic actuator of the parking brake. The APC features high dynamic properties, improved off-road capacity, smooth ride; it is able to follow tanks, cross trenches.
The BTR-70T APC is intended for fire support and special operations of mechanized units.
To improve ballistic protection of the crew and passengers the design of side hatches was improved. We may install up-to-date navigation system, radio equipment, sight and observation devices.
Upgrade package of BTR-70 to BTR-70T includes:
- Replacement of the ZMZ-41 petrol engines with the D245 diesel engines
- Installment of the fully synchronized gear box (5 gears)
- Installment of the SACHS clutch (Germany)
Replacement of the engines also includes modernization of:
- cooling system
- fuel system
- electrical equipment
- Replacement of 13.00-18” tires with 12.00-20” tires
- Replacement of the R-123 radio set with R-173 or Motorola DM-4601 or as requested by customer
- Installment of two BTR-80 style two-piece escape hatches in the hull sides that shortens dismount time
- Installment of the AC unit.
- On request (not included in price) – installment of navigation system, add-on armor that provides ballistic protection from 12.7 mm ammunition (STANAG 4569 Level 3), kevlar inlaid.
