At the presentation ‘The international arms market and the export potential of the Ukrainian defence industry’, organised by the Ukrainian Arms Council in conjunction with the Institute for the Future, experts, government officials and manufacturers sought answers to the key question: how to open the door to global markets for Ukrainian weapons.

They discussed the most important issues:

— dividends and risks of opening up exports

— step-by-step scenarios for launching Ukrainian defence industry exports

— why ‘battle-proven’ is not just a buzzword, but a real argument in negotiations with customers.

Among the participants was the Executive Directorate of the League of Defence Companies of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the League’s Supervisory Board, Yuriy Yekhanurov, shared his vision of how to transform the Ukrainian defence industry into an influential and recognisable player in the global market during the panel discussion.
