Units of Weapons Stabilization System

Description 

The units are intended for use in 2Э36-1 (BMP-2) and 2Э36-3 (BMD-2) stabilization systems of a twin mounting (2А42 cannon with PKT machine gun) to stabilize aiming against and tracking of ground, surface and air targets in a vertical plane (elevation) and horizontal (traverse) plane for effective firing from a halt and when moved that enables laying at the maximum rate of not less than: 6 °/s – in AUTO mode and 35 °/s (30 °/s – in a horizontal plane) – in SEMI-AUTO mode.

The units are mounted in special-purpose vehicles, including BMP-2 and BMD-2.

They have high shock and vibration immunity with a capability to operate under rugged conditions.

Purpose of Use

It is designed for use in 2Э36-1 (BMP-2) and 2Э36-3 (BMD-2) stabilization systems of the twin mounting (2А42 cannon with PKT machine gun) to stabilize aiming against and tracking of ground, surface and air targets in vertical and horizontal planes for effective firing from a halt and when moved that makes laying done at the maximum rate of not less than: 6 °/s – in AUTO mode and 35 °/s (30 °/s – in a horizontal plane) – in SEMI-AUTO mode.

Specifications

• Maximum laying rate in AUTO mode – not less than 6°/s.
• Maximum laying rate in SEMI-AUTO mode, not less than:

– in a horizontal plane – 30°/s;

– in a vertical plane – 35°/s.

• Power supply voltage:

– DC – from 22 to 29 V;

– 400 Hz AC – from 33 to 39 V.
