Yuriy Yekhanurov, Member of the Supervisory Board of the “League of Defense Companies of Ukraine”: in the absence of exports, the defense industry will not be able to develop

Private enterprises will build production facilities on the territory of other countries if the state does not allow the export of weapons [without the special mediator of the exporter].

On July 6, President of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Small, Medium and Privatized Enterprises of Ukraine, a member of the Supervisory Board of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine and former Head of Government Yuriy Yekhanurov, announced this during a roundtable of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine.

According to him, armed export for private companies is an extremely important topic, “because in the absence of exports, the defense industry will not be able to develop.”

Summing up, Mr. Yekhanurov stopped at the activities of the League of Defense Companies of Ukraine. In particular, in his opinion, the main trump of the League is the ability to change the rules of the game. “The League may raise such issues as state enterprises can not put,” he explained.

In addition, a member of the Supervisory Board of the League of Defense Companies of Ukraine added that “reforms and traditions in the defense industry in the public sector should go in such a direction that state enterprises have the right to join the League and be equal members of this League.”
