Chairman of the Board of the League O.M. Vysotsky and Executive Director of the League O.V. Bryushkovsky visited February 7 Chernihiv, where he attended a meeting with the leaders of industrial enterprises of the region. The topic of conversation is the possibility of cooperation for the development of new areas of development and production of military products.

Oleg Bryushkovsky, Executive Director of the League, emphasized that only jointly, enterprises that are already quite powerful and competitive at the moment could influence the improvement of cooperation between the private and public sectors, including inducing a constructive change in the regulatory field. This, in turn, will contribute to the improvement of domestic production and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability.
It was also noted that the League now forms a catalog of Ukrainian enterprises to understand how to better combine their efforts and develop the defense industry of our state. It is interested in both a large private business and a state.
By the way, Chernihivshchyna was the first to find an initiative to hold a dialogue with representatives of the League, understanding the prospects and mutual benefit of cooperation.
Vv First Deputy Head of Chernihiv Regional State Administration Yuliya Sviridenko noted that in the past few years the region has been steadily growing in production. In particular, last year, indices in the industrial sector grew by almost 17%.
– At today’s meeting, Chernihiv companies are represented, which demonstrate high scientific and industrial potential, have high-tech equipment, experienced specialists, and relevant developments, “the official noted and expressed his hopes for a constructive conversation that would give an insight into concrete steps of interaction.

Oleg Vysotsky, Chairman of the Board of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, and Oleg Vysotsky, Head of the Department for Development and Procurement of Arms of the Department of Military-Technical Policy, Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Eduard Mohyla, expressed their vision for further cooperation of the enterprises. They see significant potential of the domestic industrial sector not only in the modernization of obsolete equipment, but also in the production of state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment.

Leaders of local businesses presented their developments and products, as well as prospects for new developments focused on the manufacture of military equipment and related equipment. Everyone expressed his position regarding possible ways of cooperation. Among the precautions is the possible outflow of skilled personnel, as well as the lack of state funding for the development of new samples of military products.

It should be noted that, with interest, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the League, in particular, perceived information on the possibility of providing enterprises of the region with a practically complete cycle of manufacturing tents for military hospitals.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the close cooperation with the testing center of the State Research and Testing Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is located in Chernihiv.

A number of enterprises in the Chernihiv region are already involved in the production of new types of weapons, as well as the import replacement of components for aviation and armored vehicles, high-precision defenses, etc. These include: “CheZaRa”,  “MAGR Group of Companies”, State Enterprise “171st Chernihiv Repair Plant”, State Enterprise “NVK Progress”, LLC “Metekol” and others.
