«In 2018, 16.4 billion UAH were allocated for the development, procurement, modernization of military equipment, equipment and equipment» – Such information is reported in Annex №3 to the State Budget for 2018, published on the website of the Parliament.

The total financing of the Ministry of Defense in 2018 is UAH 86.6 billion, which is more than 20% more than last year. At the same time, from this amount, the cost of leadership and military management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is almost 500 million hryvnias, and for providing the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and training of troops – 59.8 billion hryvnias.

For medical treatment, rehabilitation and sanatorium support of the personnel of the Armed Forces, veterans of military service and members of their families, veterans of the war, the budget provides UAH 2.4 billion. UAH 857.6 million were allocated for the construction and acquisition of housing for military servicemen.

2.8 billion hryvnias are allocated for the training of military specialists in higher educational establishments, advanced training and retraining of military specialists and civil servants, initial military training and patriotic upbringing of youth.

The utilization of ammunition, liquid components of missile fuel, armaments, military equipment and other military property, ensuring the survivability and explosion safety of arsenals, bases and warehouses amounts to UAH 534 million.

Expenditures on the Ministry of Defense for the implementation of measures to increase defense and security of the state amount to 2.7 billion hryvnia.
