Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) was founded in 1898. Over the years, he has trained nearly 370,000 professionals, of whom more than 60,000 – during the years of Ukraine’s independence.
KPI is among 4% of the best universities in the world, according to QS and Webometrics international ratings.
KPI is one of the largest educational institutions in Europe. It trains almost 25,000 students, postgraduates and doctoral students, including foreign students from countries near and far abroad. Every sixth student of Kyiv acquires education in the KPI, every twenty-fifth professor and associate professor of Ukraine is a lecturer at the KPI; in the technical higher educational institutions every fifth faculty and department is a faculty or a department of the KPI.
KPI is the basic organization of the State Information Network of Higher Educational Institutions and Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Uran, which is attached to the European Educational Network GEANT. The University also initiated the creation of a “Center for Supercomputer Computing and Data” in Ukraine.
KPI cooperates with the technical universities of dozens of countries, many international organizations (UNESCO, UNIDO, WIPO, NATO, EDNES, ICSU, CODATA, etc.) and the most famous corporations and firms (MOTOROLA, SIEMENS, FESTO, SAMSUNG, INTEL, etc.), takes Participation in international educational, scientific projects and programs.
