
Director of External Relations of the League Yulia Vysotskaya, as part of the official delegation of Ukraine headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Yuriy Brovchenko, took part in the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Working Group on High-level Military Reform which took place on March 5, 2018 at the headquarters. -Automation of NATO (Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium).
Representatives of all 29 NATO member states took part in the meeting, in particular, the issues of reforming the domestic defense industrial complex were discussed.
In his speech, Julia Vysotskaya presented the League and highlighted the issues that are taking place in the defense industry of Ukraine and require an early resolution (a change in the system of pricing for defense products, the introduction of a special regime for lending to enterprises executing a state defense order, the improvement of the existing system of export control of Ukraine, the creation of in Ukraine an effective system of state procurement of defense products, etc.).
In turn, NATO representatives expressed their interest in cooperation with the private defense sector of Ukraine. It is anticipated that in the near future Alliance representatives will visit Ukraine for a more detailed study of the issues and provide organizational and informational assistance in their resolution.
