Helicopters. Helicopter main gearboxes
Motor Sich JSC offers the following services for helicopter subject:
- Overhaul of helicopters of the Mi-8, Mi-17, and Mi-2 types.
- Upgrading of the Mi-8T helicopter to version Mi-8MSB powered by the TV3-117VMA- SBM1V, series 4E, engines.
- Retrofitting of the M-8 and Mi-2 helicopters to various versions: transport, passenger, medical.
- Equipping helicopters with the state-of-the-art avionics.
- Manufacture and overhaul of the VR-8A, and VR-14 main gearboxes for helicopters.
- Performance of the warrantee and post-warrantee maintenance of the supplied products.
Helicopter main gearboxes
Currently a series of R&D activities and preparation for production of the VR-442 main helicopter gearboxes to be used for upgrading the MSB-2 helicopters, as well as the VR-17MS for the Mi-8/Mi-17 helicopters, are being conducted. As a result, helicopters will be powered by up-to-date, efficient, more powerful and reliable engines, leading to enhancement of helicopter performance in general.
The development is realized by means of computer-aided engineering.
