State Enterprise “Ukroboronprom”, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute”, “Kyiv Polytechnic” Scientific Park Corporation, DZTIP “Promoboronexport”, which is a member of the Concern, as well as the League of Defense Enterprise Civil Society, signed the General Contract about partnership

This agreement provides for the creation of advanced opportunities for the development and implementation of innovative scientific and technical ideas, advanced design and technological solutions in the field of development and production of weapons to ensure Ukraine’s defense capability. The signing of the agreement took place on June 22 at the KPI. It was approved by the National Security and Defense Council and agreed with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

In fact, this agreement is a platform for a fundamentally new approach in the creation of innovative defense development in order to significantly reduce the time for the implementation of breakthrough technologies directly in production.

“The treaty finally eliminates the gap between education and production, turning the KPI into an institution in which science will move into real practical developments in the most knowledge-intensive industry – defense, not only for exchanging information and results of scientific and technical activities, but also for scientific support including the creation of joint educational and research units, that is, design bureaus and laboratories, for the implementation of the most innovative and effective projects. In addition to the First, the agreement establishes the issue of attracting investments and direct customers as well as the protection of intellectual property rights “- said the First Deputy Director General DK” Ukroboronprom “Sergey Omelchenko.

Already at the closest event, “Sikorsky Challenge”, which will show more than 400 innovative projects, will be selected the most effective and necessary for the defense of Ukraine development. In addition to the representatives of Ukroboronprom, KPI and the League of Defense Enterprises, it is planned to involve representatives of the National Security and Defense Council, the Merkat, as well as the customers – the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

The selected projects will receive maximum support from educational institutions, enterprises “Ukroboronprom”, “League of Defense Enterprises” and potential customers for the fastest implementation in the interests of the country’s defense and security of the state.

The signing of the General Contract took place during the activities of the completion of the first stage of training of specialists in the defense industry complex for the master’s program “Manager in the field of defense-industrial complex” within the framework of the 1,5-year training.

Given that this program is trained by specialists from the State Enterprise “Ukroboronprom”, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economic Development and other state bodies, it allows to create in all the structures that order, allocate funds, coordinate and make weapons , the only integrated approach to managing all the mechanisms of the defense industry complex.
