Giving Ukrainian legislation on the defense industry, the correction of the legal framework that regulates the relationship between the state and the producers of arms and military equipment, in fact, is the main topic of the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on military-industrial complex under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) scheduled for 22 June

The agenda of the Commission’s treatment of «League Of Defense Companies Of Ukraine» concerning issues of pricing for defense products and the need for its reform in accordance with modern requirements will be considered first paragraph, indicating that the increased attention of the authorities to the private sector defense industry.

Also at this meeting, the Commission plans to consider the proposal of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (MoD) on contracts to supply products for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for imports using the mechanism of non-system brokerage services, the improvement of the legal framework of formation of the insurance fund documentation for production IWT, and in the defense and mobilization purpose, the establishment of testing (certification) centers to assess the liability of products and services for military and Mr dual purpose.

In addition, as reported IA “OPK”, citing a source in the “Ukoroboronprom” interdepartmental committee also will review the preparation of the draft law on the specifics of the business of developing and producing military equipment, which should be elaborated and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the decision NSDC “on measures to develop the military-industrial complex.”
