YEKHANUROV Yuriy Ivanovych

Ukrainian politician, public figure. From July 2009 to February 2010 – First Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, from December 2007 to June 2009 – Minister of Defense of Ukraine. In 2005–2006 – Prime Minister of Ukraine. People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 3rd, 4th and 5th convocations. In 1973 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Planning and Economics of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy with a degree in economics.

In 1984 at the Kyiv National University. T. Shevchenko defended his dissertation on «Improving the efficiency of capital investment in construction (on the example of regional construction and industrial complexes)», he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. Later, at the same university, in 1992, Yu.I. Yekhanurov was awarded the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Economics, and in 2004 – the academic title of Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Economics. Since 1988, to the present time Yu.I. Yekhanurov teaches at the Department of Business Economics of Kyiv National University. T. Shevchenko.
